Mopsy is a GIA Graduate Gemologist and Certified Jewelry Appraiser who has proudly served the Baton Rouge community for more than 40 years. Her passion for jewelry began at just eight years old, when she would sneak away with her father’s needle-nose pliers and transform simple copper wire into rings, pendants, and earrings. What began as a childhood fascination grew into a lifelong passion and remarkable career—ultimately making Mopsy the first female high end jeweler in Baton Rouge.
Mopsy honed her expertise as a custom jewelry designer in Beverly Hills, California, where her innovative designs consistently pushed the boundaries of contemporary jewelry. During her time there, she had the distinguished honor of redesigning a ring for Dolly Parton, specifically engineered to remain securely in place while she played her guitar. This exceptional work earned Mopsy the admiration and respect of fellow master jewelers.
Mopsy is a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) with a degree in Merchandising; Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA); Certified Personal Property Appraiser, from International Society of Appraisers (ISA), and gifted jewelry designer.
